No-Color Setting Powder
*The foundation color looks perfect...but changes as soon as you set with "translucent" powder because most of them contain pigment.
Not a problem if the setting powder has NO pigment.
RCMA No-Color creates a matte finish with finely milled talc and will keep foundation color stabilized even when skin oils break through. RCMA was one of the first and is still one of the most popular No-Color setting powders in the industry.
Ultralucent Setting Powders
*Setting cream and fluid foundation is not the only function of this unassuming jar of loose powder. The folks at Cinema Secrets added anti-perspirant capabilities to offset that sweaty brow under hot studio lights and to wrangle the unexpected hot flash many actresses of a 'certain age' are bound to experience.
Ultralucent is milled to a silky softness, will not accentuate fine lines or wrinkles and is available is 5 beautiful sheer tints including a delicate candlelight color called "Custard". But of course my personal favorite is Colorfree.
Kett Sett Powders
*Maximum oil control, minimal texture, absolutely no pigment.
Kett Sett is one of the only talc based, color-free pressed powders that meets HD compliancy and the high standards of those working in the medium. Micronized to an ultra fine texture that gets the job done and leaves no visible residue behind - what more do i need to say?
Luxury Visage Loose Powders & MediaPro Pressed
*We all love a fabulous money saver...but if it doesn't work, why bother?
Ben Nye delivers an ultra-fine, sheer powder that reduces shine and sets makeup beautifully...at a ridiculously affordable price. Just about every makeup artist I know has used (or at least heard of) the Ben Nye 'banana' powder. It gives the same candlelight glow and finish as that French company's Poudre' Banana ...for 1/5 of the price! The new MediaPro Pressed Powders are almost exact duplicates of the iconic Visiora Pressed Powder - for a fraction of the price (and the colors are better).
MAKE UP FOR EVER
HD Microfinish Powder
*In an HD video format skin surfaces must appear natural (not matte - not dewy) and show NO powder texture. HD Microfinish Powder is made of only micronized Silca (100% mineral), has absolutely no pigment and absorbs only excess oil shine. When activated by contact with oil or surface moisture, it becomes completely invisible (clear) so it can be used on any skin color ...yes, I said ANY skin color!
WARNING: Do Not use this powder on dry skin, especially in the presence of flash photography. It MUST be activated by oil or moisture or it will strobe white.
High Definition Powder
*OK, suspiciously similar in many aspects to the MUFE HD Powder...almost exact. The only difference is the addition of silicone, which does not change the effectiveness or total transparency of this product at all. Only noticable difference...it's price of $6 ($24 less than MUFE).
WARNING: Do Not use the big fluffy puff that comes with this powder. It applies far to much to the skin and will leave a white residue. Use a kabuki style brush and buff the powder into skin.
Setting FX & Matte FX Powders
*The talc-free loose SettingFX powder contains minerals and micronized mica that acts as an optical diffuser, softening the appearance of fine lines, flaws and blemishes. It sets any foundation or concealer beautifully without ever leaving a dry or cakey looking finish.
The MatteFX pressed powder is also mineral based and talc free. Corn starch and silica microsponges absorb excess oil and control shine. This powder can be used over foundation or on bare skin for oil control.
NOTE: Even though they have mineral ingredients (mica, silica), both powders are "photo safe" and won't strobe in flash photography.
*This iconic pressed powder has been around since Blenderella began doing makeup (yes, dinosaurs roamed the earth back then). It has remained a pro favorite because of it's velvety smooth texture and almost invisible coverage. A total of 10 colors will matte down any skintone you come across. Pricey? Hell yeah, but legends don't come cheap.
*A unique powder designed primarilly for shine control without adding any noticeable color or texture. Sets foundation and controls excess oil with Mica and Silica. It's available in a selection of 5 shades (never understood the need for so many shades if the product supposedly doesn't add color?).
Diamond Perfect Finish
*A patented diamond complex creates a flawless finish by bending and refracting light to reduce the visibility of imperfections. The photoluminescence of nearly a full carat of diamonds in each jar illuminates a blue glow (or aura) which is imperceivable to the human eye. This "aura" does not give off a shimmery or shiny finish, more of a subtle under-lit glow (very attractive), decreases the appearance of wrinkles (very, very attractive) and will not settle into fine lines or pores (very unattractive). Diamond Perfect Finish will not strobe (reflect back photo flash as white-ish skintone) and works perfectly for high definition media,
Invisible Difference Setting Powder
*An ultra-fine, virtually invisible, talc-free loose powder for a completely matte finish. Ideal for setting makeup cleanly with exceptional oil control and pore minimizing due to it's perfect balance of silica, cornstarch and mica.
Three Custom Color Specialists
*An extraordinarily sheer, ultra-light, matte finish powder. It applies perfectly over makeup with a completely transparent appearance while it does some serious oil and shine contol. Because it has a minimal level of pigment, this powder will not disturb foundation color or natural skin-tone. Available in both loose and pressed formulas.
Pureness Blotting Papers
*Dealing with very oily or acne prone skin is a challenge and dragging out the powder compact time after time can be - well, a drag. These oil-absorbing sheets eliminate excess shine with a coating of color-free, anti-bacterial powder to keep 'problem' skin clean, fresh and matte. In a portable plastic pouch for quick touch-ups anytime, any place.
Aburatorigami Blotting Papers
*These simple sheets have only been available since Spring 2010 ...but ooooooh the buzz they've created!!!
This 300 year old Japanese beauty secret for a fresh complexion was discovered accidentally (go to the website to read the story...it's very cool).
Tatcha sheets remove exces oil and sweat without disturbing makeup OR stealing moisture from the skin. Made from the pulp of 100% abaca leaf and infused with gold flake (the gold flake will make sense when you read the story).
Fragrance-free. Powder-free. Oil-free. All-natural, biodegradable. No animal testing.
Clean & Clear
*Sometimes the drugstore brand works as well as the high end stuff. The silky synthetic sheets have no powder coating and are softer and more durable than standard blotting paper. They instantly soak up excess oil and remove shine without smudging makeup (or leaving powder buildup). Wrap them around the pointed end of a wedge sponge to easily blot around the nose and other area of the face. NO makeup kit should be without these.
Facial / Body Blotting Paper
*A total "insider" secret. Not well known outside of pro makeup circles, but definitely a hit due to it's thoughtful design. The hand made Blotting Paper comes on a 29 foot (8.8m) continuous roll of soft absorbent paper for custom sized usage. Talc-Free, Powder-Free, Lint-Free. Will not disturb make-up or leave lint on stubble.
Scent-sational: Your choice of fragrance free or three aromatherapy scents - Lavendar, Rose or Aloe.
